Haworth Lumen Award Design

The Lumen Award was given to outstanding performers in Haworth’s Product Marketing Group. I had the honor of designing the award in 2010. It was an experimental process of molding it out of Biomass recycled material. It has a natural wick with an oil reservoir in the center. The imperfections were intentional, although it could have been sanded and filled. This represents the organic origins of the Biomass material. It was inspired by seed pods - representing growth - and from the top it looks like a star. From the front it makes one think of the ‘great light on the hill’, illuminating the path for others to follow. Fifteen were produced for tHE awards occasion.
